No wit, wisdom or joke-just a simply Congratulations. Good luck, and may God bless you completely in every possible way for the rest of your lives :)

And remember that the important thing at the end of the day is that youre married. Any hiccups at all throughout the day-just make the day unique and therfore YOURS.
God bless

Dear Jennie and Joe,

An amazing marriage is far more important than an amazing wedding, but you already know that. Cheers, and I hope to actually meet you some day!

Love from the Newark Collective Posse (me, my son, and the two cats who own us)

PS. If the police don't show up, your wedding is already better than mine.

Sarah, that is excellent advice! It seems so silly to get hung up on whether the little details work out or not. Thank you!

Kiti, the police thing is always a possibility...my family is kind of nutso (in a good way).

Dear Jennie and Joe,

Here's hoping that you get nice and drunk on your wedding -- the kind where your head feels like a balloon and the world is so happy -- but not so drunk that you won't remember everything in the morning, that you have a hangover, or that you're so drunk that you puke all over your nice hotel room and ruin your wedding night. I wish these things for you.

Love,
Ashley

That is the perfect amount of drunk, Ashley.

It does seem silly..but after months of planning.. you dont want hiccups! i thought i'd be chill and anticipate.. but lets see.
my bridal party all had the 'runs'..which set us back in time.. someone called the florist to deliver the (unfinished) flowers early..so she freaked out and i had to handle it.. then the mothers were escorted down the aisle BEFORE the wedding..so they had to be marched up-down-up-down.. numerous times! Funny now..but at the time gave some hiccups and caused some time delays.
In the end, I can laugh now..and I did laugh at some then..and I still think it was the most perfect day ever! So -you cant anticipate it all-but they make its yours..and you'll handle it fine :)

Haikus For Jenny & Joe

'Ohio' takes up
Five frikkin' syllables, which
is just so selfish

Joe and Jenny! Yay!
Their love offsets Ohio's
Selfishness and junk

'At last!', screams Dayton,
'A valid reason to use
that huge carrilon!'

Unknown said...

Well, three syllables, but still....totally selfish for a 4-letter word.

'carillon'

Editing isn't my strong suit this afternoon.

Wishing you both all the best. And if you still need a song to dance to, I always suggest Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust." Oddly, no one has taken that suggestion yet....

Um, you guys... I don't even know what to say. I miss you? Yeah. I miss you. I actually do, even though I've never met you in person. Still... like THAT matters. Pffft!

I wish you love, laughter, and a long, long life together to enjoy it all. From the sounds of things, you're having the best wedding ever to kick it all off, so I'd say everything's on track. Enjoy these moments -- they'll end up as some of the best memories. Cheers!!
