I'd love to embrace you, but first I have to satisfy my sense of moral outrage!

heather It's pet week here at The Collective, and originally I planned to tell you a story about how my cat is trying to kill me. But then I thought, "What if she's not trying to kill me and she reads the post and it gives her some ideas?" And then I thought, "Don't be ridiculous, Heather Anne. Of course she's trying to kill you." But then I ran out of time to write about it, and maybe I won't wake up tomorrow. Who can say, really?

I guess more than anything, this is a cry for help.

Nala Jane Hogan. Calico. 12 pounds. Turn this photo over to the police if you never hear from me again.

Cats are so full of murderous intentions. Phoebe's always trying to kill me, too.

You guys, I have TWO murderous felines in my house. This is probably a blessing in disguise, though, because they're always trying to kill each other first.

The other day I tried to remove some of Hal's dandruff with a wet cloth (my cat has dandruff), but he got so mad at me that he hissed like a crazy thing and wouldn't let me leave the room. I don't know what is wrong with him. What does he think I'm going to do to him? He also won't let me brush him or put his collar back on. He needs kitty Prozac.

Sapphira is disturbingly often seen in conversation with the neighbor's cat through the fence. I think they're plotting something. It can't be good.
